CalAgCU History

California Agribusiness Credit Union is a state-chartered credit union established in 1936 for the purpose of providing financial services to the dairy and agricultural industry.

Every account holder at CalAgCU is an owner in a credit union that has been serving the agricultural and dairy industries for more than 75 years. CalAgCU is a financial cooperative owned and operated entirely by its membership.

Unlike mainstream and corporate financial institutions, our goal is to faithfully serve our members by giving them higher earnings on accounts and lower interest rates on loans.

We hold true to the international credit union philosophy of “people helping people.” This is more than just a slogan; it is the operating principle that utilizes member savings as a source of loans to other qualified members and the interest income gained is then returned to the members in the form of competitive rates and dividends.
